Indulge in the Norfolk Charm and Irresistible Flavors of Hilli Restaurant and Café
Nestled amidst the tranquil beauty of Norfolk Island, where time seems to slow down, there’s a place that encapsulates the very essence of relaxation and culinary delight. In the unique Norfolk language, ‘hilli’ translates to a drowsy, lazy feeling, the kind that sweeps over you after savoring a sumptuous meal. It’s the contentment that follows a heavenly food coma, and that is exactly the kind of satisfaction you can expect from a dining experience at the Hilli Restaurant and Café.
An Epicurean Journey for All Senses
At Hilli, the culinary journey begins with the very first bite. Order a serving of scones, meticulously paired with jam and cream, and enjoy them alongside a steaming hot cup of Devonshire tea, all while basking in the serene views of the lush gardens. It’s an experience that appeals to the senses – the aroma of freshly baked scones, the vibrant colors of the garden, and the soothing warmth of your tea.
For those who appreciate the ocean’s bounty, a return visit for dinner promises a feast of Norfolk Island’s renowned seafood. Don’t miss the salt and pepper calamari or the seafood crepe. The latter features succulent prawns, tender calamari, and local trumpeter fish bound in a seasoned Mornay sauce, all enveloped in a delicate French crepe. Each bite tells a story of the island’s coastal treasures, expertly prepared to perfection.
