“In 2023 was awarded a Churchill Fellowship, allowing me to travel overseas to see specimens of endemic species we have sadly lost from Norfolk – my island home. I was also able to view paintings and drawings made in the colonial era – before these plants and animals became extinct. This 50 minute film captures the highs and lows of that extraordinary journey, which will now form the basis of an illustrated book I am working on, celebrating the rich biodiversity of our wonderful island”.
