The People of Norfolk Island sing “God Save The Queen” in honour of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
The British monarchy holds a special place in the heart of the Norfolk Island People. It was due to the generosity of Queen Victoria that the entire population of Pitcairn Island relocated to Norfolk Island in 1865, so that they could continue to grow their families and protect their unique culture. Many on Norfolk still consider themselves loyal subjects of the Queen of England, and to this day “God Save The Queen” is still sung at official functions. The Norfolk Island people extend their warmest wishes to Her Majesty the Queen on this, her Platinum Jubilee 🇳🇫
