I visited the beautiful Norfolk Island in 2024, when in a twist of fate, an opportunity to travel presented itself, aligning in this my 70th year—a serendipitous gift to myself. Armed with a newfound determination to take great photos! and equipped with a new camera gear, I embarked on what promised to be a journey of a lifetime. And it didn’t disappoint.
I found solace and purpose in the untamed wilderness, immersing myself in the landscapes that resonated so deeply with my soul, swimming carefree in the bays and trekking the trails, watching the birds. A highlight was the discovery of “the pulpit” at Anson Bay —a moment of profound homecoming and fulfillment after seeing Ken Duncan’s amazing photo in the SBS “Chasing the Light” doco. (Oh to be that skilled!!)
